By popular demand, the next two Mondays will be devoted totally to CHRISTMAS!!! Both weeks we’ll do 2 selections, and then if there’s time, we’ll revisit any old favourites on request. ( ***If you’ve taken my Christmas Workshop in the past, please bring all your songsheets with you!)
WEEK #1
This week, we’ll learn the gorgeous Vince Guaraldi jazz classic, “Christmastime is Here” from that yearly must-see, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, and the saucy, irreverent “Santa Baby” (Why hasn’t THIS one been banned??? Nonsense.)
WEEK #2
Next week, another soulful classic, “Do You Hear What I Hear” (written in 1962 in response to the Cuban Missile Crisis and over the years recorded by dozens and dozens of artists), and just because we just have to,“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” – the Oscar winning, so-called improper, sexually inappropriate ( and beloved!!) tune that was written by Frank Loesser for he and his wife to sing at parties. Shocking, huh?
