Tomorrow@THE UKULELE SESSIONS: “1936”

-1HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome back to THE UKULELE SESSIONS!
If you got a ukulele for Christmas, lucky you!! (Let me know if you’d like to learn how to play that baby!) If you already have one, and haven’t gotten into the groove yet, but know how to play it (sort of?!), then you might like to join us every Wednesday night here in Newmarket. Check out the post titled “What are THE UKULELE SESSIONS?” to find out just that!

So, tomorrow night. . . inspired by a favorite Woody Allen movie last night, I”ve decided to ‘ease’ us into 2017 with a couple sweet hits from 1936, a good year for music! ‘Pennies from Heaven’, made a hit by Bing Crosby, and ‘The Glory of Love’, 1st released by Benny Goodman.
Both sheets have chord images . . . ahhhh. . . so this will be a relaxing hour of feel-good strumming to get those fingers back in shape after the holidays.

*****And remember – please let me know if you plan to come

Here’s Bette Midler with her uke, but I like Jimmy Durante’s version too.

And Dave Tyndall has a really nice feel on his uke. (Don’t worry, our version is MUCH simpler!)
